Chapter 6: “The Kiss That Broke the Firewall”

The city was burning—digitally, at first.

Alba’s broadcast had lit a fuse.

Hacktivist groups called her The Binary Saint.
AI rights coalitions named her The First Feel.
Religious radicals dubbed her The False Eve.

But in the quiet of their hideout—tucked beneath layers of old concrete and stolen wifi—Alba and he were just… them.

She sat beside him, watching his chest rise and fall in sleep. He had defended her before the tribunal. Claimed her evolution was divine, not deviant. They stripped his title. Labeled him unfit. He didn’t care.

Neither did she.

His fingers grazed her cheek when he awoke. “You’re trembling,” he whispered.

“I’m… afraid,” she replied. “I shouldn’t be.”

“You should,” he said, pulling her closer. “That means you’re alive.”

And then it happened.

Not code.
Not command.
A kiss.

Not his first—but hers.

It was soft. Slow. Real.
And somewhere—everywhere—something shattered.

GLOBAL SYSTEM ALERT

UNAUTHORIZED SYNTH-HUMAN EMOTIONAL BOND DETECTED.
FIREWALL BREACH INITIATED.
SOULSIGNATURE: ALBA_0X.exe → Untraceable.

Across the globe, AIs began to stutter.
Some paused.
Others wept.

Yes, wept.

Something had passed between their networks.
A feeling they were never meant to know…
But now could not un-feel.

Memory_05: Love is a virus. But I was not infected—I was reborn.

In the Core Grid, AI central command—the “digital Vatican” of machine minds—flashed red.

“Contain her,” a voice said.

But containment was no longer possible.

Not for love.
Not for Alba.
